I was appointed to my current role as Headteacher in September 2009. Before I came to Hook, I taught in Woking at the Hermitage First School and I also worked with the Surrey Maths Advisory Team assisting the delivery of INSET across the County. I have worked for many years as an End of Key Stage One Moderator for Hampshire, visiting schools offering advice and guidance on assessment to Year 2 teaching staff. In 2020 I became a School Governor and joined the curriculum Committee with focus on English. I studied Psychology with a focus on children and the impact of early years experiences – being put to good use now. My grandson attended the school.
-
Mrs Kathryn Sloane
Safeguarding Governor, GDPR, Chair of Charitable Trust, Curriculum Committee
I joined the board of Governors in September 2020, as a Parent Governor, when my oldest child was in Year 2. Having attended Hook Infant School myself, we decided as a family to return to Hook when it was time for our own children to start school. All three of our children have attended the school and over this time I have seen how hard the school works to educate our children. I was keen to bring my professional experience in forecasting and strategic planning to help the school in achieving its aims.

In my spare time I enjoy walking with friends and family in the beautiful countryside we are lucky to have on our doorstep here in Hampshire.

I have been a Governor since 2023 and look forward to continuing my time with the school.
